BLOGGING BRACKET BONANZA!!!

(UPDATE: To participate in the 2007 contest Click here)

In honor of the fact that the NCAA men's basketball tournament is expected to cost businesses $3.8 billion in lost employee productivity, I have decided to added fuel to the fire.

INTRODUCING.........The Inaugural Blogging Bracket Bonanza!!!

The Contest:
- Pick the teams you think will make the Final Four. That's it, we are keeping it simple here (note: feel free to add other commentary, but your four picks are all that count)

The Rules:
- You must have a blog
- You must either email me at jtreem@gmail.com or leave a comment on this blog
- You must have your picks in by 10am CST Thursday

The Prizes:
- Bragging rights over your fellow bloggers
- Assorted goodies of my choosing, possible even my original Smores' casserole

NO KNOWLEDGE OF BASKETBALL REQUIRED (so foreign bloggers can play)

Here are the brackets to help make your selections and here is a good resource if you care enough to do research

Example: My dog Gus is picking: Southern Illinois, Gonzaga, Connecticut and Georgetown (He only picks teams with dog mascots). See if you can beat Gus.

Spread the word, bring a little excitement to the cubicle over the next few weeks. (Note: I'll be e-mailing people on my blog roll)

Great game, I just spent all night picking my bracket so here are my picks for the Final Four: Villanova, Duke, Connecticut, and Kansas.

Now where should I pick up the Smores' casserole :) ?

Smores' casserole will be mailed in one of my mom's hand-painted boxes. The prizes keep getting better and better.

Well, here's my Four. I went with Duke because even though I can't stand them, they've got one of the more deadly shooters in the country; Kansas for selfish reasons - I'm a huge fan of the Jayhawks, and after they started off poorly this year, they roped off a stack of great wins - perhaps they had the bad part of the season at the beginning, instead of the end; Michigan State because I think Coach Tom Izzo is up for another one, and they've looked good this season when I've seen them play; and Florida because a) it would be awesome to see them have to play Izzo's crew to advance further and b) that I think they have something to prove.

So, no dog-assisted picks from me, and I have a couple really big longshots when it comes down to it, but that's what I'm going with. Thanks for the opportunity!

I'm taking UConn, Georgia Tech, Gonzaga and Stanford this year. If I win, you can send my S'mores casserole over to Pepper - I owe him one.
