Son-of-a-pitch points to a survey by the Employment Law Alliance that says only 15 percent of companies have clear policies regarding employee blogging.
Not only is this foolish from a legal standpoint, it puts companies it a tough spot when a situation arises. And with the study reporting that as much as five percent of workers may be blogging, these conflicts are sure to continue.
Also interesting is that 55 percent said they'd support an company's decision to punish a worker who posted damaging, embarrassing or negative information about their employer on or off the clock, while 22 percent would take their colleagues side.
